BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, September 2, 2015 – Wycombe Wanderers defender Aaron Pierre has been called up to represent Grenada in their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The 22 year-old has been one of the Chairboys’ star performers this season, scoring twice and helping his side keep four clean sheets in their first five league games.

Pierre is in the squad for Grenada’s double header against Haiti on Friday 4th and Wednesday 9th September.

He will miss Wycombe’s home game against Hartlepool on Saturday but will be available for the clash with Plymouth Argyle at Adams Park the following weekend.

Blues’ boss Gareth Ainsworth told wwfc.com: “It’s a tremendous honour for any player to represent their country and Aaron has worked extremely hard to deserve this opportunity.”

“Although it will be a big blow for us to lose him from our game against Hartlepool, we`ll be wishing him every success.”
