ST GEORGE’S, April 25, 2016 – A game-high 32 points from Shurlan Aban were not enough for LA Lions in a losing effort to Lazarus Antoine & Associates Sallee Sixers in the 6th Annual Waggy T Knockout Basketball Tournament on the weekend.

Aban, who also contributed eight rebounds, two steals and one assist, saw his side fell to Sallee Sixers 90-85 in the second of a double-header on Saturday at the Gouyave Hard Court.

Kerry Alexander led the scoring for Sallee Sixers with 20 points.

Earlier, New Hampshire Blazers defeated Unique Ballers 77-49 with Ranell Bain scoring 19 points for New Hampshire and Zeron Harper leading the effort for Unique Ballers with 15 points.

There were also victories for Windsor Forest Vipers and Carenage United Generation in matches played on Sunday.

Vipers eliminated Sweaters United 60-45 with Jewel Pierre scoring 23 points for the Windsor Forest’s outfits. Rondell Johnson had 18 points for Sweaters United.

In the final game of the evening, Generation cruised past Trojans 68-54. Anderson Charles was the top-scorer with 25 points for Generation basketballers and Shard Noel had 23 points for Trojans.

The quarter-finals begin this weekend.
