ST GEORGE’S, November 5, 2016 – The bowlers featured in matches played in the Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) Twenty20 Tournament at Progress Park, St Andrew on Saturday.
Richard Rogers, Daniel McDonald and Ryan Paul led Pearls Progressive to a five-wicket victory over Tivoli Cricket Club while all round performance by Davis Charles and assisted by Telon Felix ensured a five-wicket win for Beauregard United against Old Boys.
Rogers, McDonald and Paul bagged three wickets each to bowl out Tivoli CC for 63 off 13.5 overs.
Only Kyron Charles (10) managed to get into double figures as Rogers (3-4), McDonald (3-15) and Paul (3-20) restricted Tivoli CC for one of the lowest totals this season.
Keville Charles (22) and Dwight Wildman unbeaten on 16 then steered Pearls Progressive to 64 for five in 9.2 overs.
Wayne Williams took two for 18 and a wicket each for Jahzeel Francis, Shagon Peters and Kyron Charles.
Rogers was named Man-of-the-Match.
In an earlier match, Davis Charles (2-12) and Telon Felix (2-15) held Old Boys to 126 for eight in the allotted 20 overs. Rene Belfon made with 37 and Albert Joseph was left unbeaten on 18.
In reply, Charles stroked an unbeaten 33, with Denzil Matthew adding 26 and Robin Enoe (24).
Bowling for Old Boys, Moses Thomas took three for 23.
Charles picked up the Man-of-the-Match award.
The tournament continues on Sunday with Pressure Pumpers playing Munich Invaders at 9:30 a.m. and NEWIM Upsetters against Prisons from 1:30 p.m.
