Grenada Cricket Association LogoST GEORGE’S, May 8, 2016 (GrenadaSports) – National player Keone George struck an unbeaten century to give defending champion St David its first victory in the 2016 Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) Inter-Parish Super50 Cup Tournament on Sunday.

Following a 10-run defeat to St George on Saturday, St David bounced back to trounced St John by 125 runs.

George made 101 not out in St David’s innings of 236 all out in the allotted 50 overs against St John. He shared useful partnerships including one with Andre Fletcher which yielded 34 runs for the fourth wicket.

Fletcher made 24 and Kem Charles (22) and Darel Cyrus (20).

Omar Charles took three for 32 and Ronnick Holder three for 43.

In reply, Jenson Mitchell was the batsman to offer any resistance to the St David bowling attack with 36 and Charles (17) and Kevin Joseph (15) as St John was bowled out for 111 in 30 overs.

Casimir Thomas destroyed the innings with figures of six for 44 and Darel Cyrus took two for 10, bowling for St David.
