Grenada Cricket Association LogoST GEORGE’S, May 15, 2016 (GrenadaSports) – St Patrick and St George will contest the final of the Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) Super 50 Inter-Parish Cup Tournament following semi-final victories on Sunday.

St Patrick ended St David’s reign as parish champions with a six-wicket win at Progress Park, St Andrew while St George defeated powerhouse St Andrew by two wickets at the National Stadium.

St David won the toss and decided to bat with only captain Andre Fletcher (40) and Ryan John (39) getting into double figures. Clyde Telesford was the next best with nine as four batsmen failed to score in St David’s 119 all out in 36.2 overs.

Alvin Marcelle (4-19), Craig Phillip (3-15) and Emon Alexander (2-33) destroyed St David’s innings.

Chasing 120 runs for victory, St Patrick had solid scores from Eran Matthew (38), Jalon Olive (23) and unbeaten knocks of 19 and 11 from Marlon Henry and Devon Smith respectively.

John (1-16), Casimir Thomas (1-23), Cameron Augustine (1-32) and Nelon Pascal (1-38) were the St David’s bowlers.

Over at the National Stadium, solid scores from Chard Charles, Keishon Mitchell, Cyprian Forsyth and Javed Hazzard led St George to a two-wicket win over St Andrew.

Charles made 41 and Mitchell was unbeaten on 25. Forsyth (24) and Hazzard (24) guided St George to 194 for eight off 49.2 overs.

Daniel McDonald took four for 39 and Heron Campbell had two for 21, bowling for St Andrew.

Earlier, St Andrew made 192 for three off 50 overs with Campbell 46 not out and Rudolph Paul unbeaten on 45. St Hillaire (23) and Matthew (28) added 51 for the first wicket but that effort was unable to stop St George from claiming victory.

The final will be played on Saturday at a venue to be determined.
