ST GEORGE’S, December 14, 2014 – Grenadian junior tennis player Oronfo Ikolo has been accepted into the main draw of the 53rd Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship in Miami, Florida.

In the list released on last month, Oronfo was among the 192 boys accepted from 75 countries to travel to South Florida to compete in one of the most prestigious and world-recognised junior tournaments on the amateur tennis circuit.

Oronfo, accompanied by his coach Richard Hughes, arrived in Miami on Friday for the tournament scheduled to begin on Tuesday and runs until December 23.

Hughes, who has coached Oronfo since he was eight years old, will be attempting to launch him to the world; having succeeded in doing so in the Caribbean and Central America.

At the Orange Bowl tournament, Oronfo will likely be battling young tennis players in the 14 and under category from the United States, Britain, Spain, France, China, Canada, and Germany among others.

Grenada Distillers donated two return airline tickets and the Presentation Brothers College (PBC) New York Alumni and the Grenada Olympic Committee also made contributions.
