ST GEORGE’S, August 31, 2016 – Paradise FC extended its lead in the Premier League of the Grenada Football Association (GFA) with a home victory on Tuesday.

The St Andrew-based team defeated St John’s Sports 3-1 at Progress Park to move to 21 points, four clear of second placed Hard Rock. St John’s Sports remain in the third spot on 15 points.

The game was played ahead of the mid-week schedule to accommodate members of St John’s Sports who are attending the funeral of their late club president Janet Butler on Wednesday.

But Hard Rock has a chance to creep back into title contention with a win on Wednesday night. It has to overcome a determined Hurricane at Cuthbert Peters Park in Gouyave.

It will be the first of a double-header which will also see Gouyave FC hosting Chantimelle from 8:00 p.m.

Also playing on Wednesday are Mt Rich and Queens Park Rangers at Fond from 6:00 p.m. and Fontenoy United against Boca Juniors at Beausejour Playing Field at 4:30 p.m.
