ST GEORGE’S, November 13, 2015 – More than 150 players representing 13 Secondary Schools are expected to participate in the 2015 Secondary Schools’ Table Tennis Championship, starting on Friday.

The event, sponsored by Sol EC Ltd, will be held at the National Youth & Cultural Centre in Morne Rouge and will be held over two days.

The students will compete in Under-15 and Under-18 for boys and girls. The competition will involve single elimination in a best of three sets for the first four rounds and the best of five sets from the quarter-finals in the boys’ category and the best of three in the girls’ section.

The winners from last year’s championship were Rodha Joseph of St Joseph’s Convent St Andrew (Under-15 girls); Jade Oliver of St Rose Modern Secondary School (Under-15 boys); Sophia Mason of St Mark’s Secondary School (Under-18 girls) and Kevon Charles of St John’s Christian Secondary School (Under-18 boys).

First serve is scheduled for 10:15 a.m.
